Spring Break is a great time to visit 30A. With amazing weather and energetic holiday vibes, it’s a fun place to be. It’s a popular spot for high schoolers to enjoy their school break but there’s a wide variety of people who enjoy visiting this time of the year as well. Families and couples will be equally as happy to indulge in a beautiful beach day here. On today’s blog, we’re going to share some fun things to do during your 30A vacation.

Day 1

Ah, smell that fresh ocean air! Welcome to 30A. If you’re still looking for a place to stay on 30A, check out our list of beautiful 30A cottages and luxury rental homes. Settle in at your 30A vacation rental home then grab lunch or early dinner at one of the many incredible local restaurants on 30A. If you’re looking for a more memorable, sit-down affair for your first night in town, this list of must-try 30A dishes is a good place to start. From seafood paella to fish candy, there are intriguing options you’ll have to taste to believe. But there are also plenty of casual eateries: pizza places, a grilled cheese food truck and many places you can eat outdoors or indoors like Cowgirl Kitchen which is right on the beach and has a variety of dishes so there’s something everyone can enjoy. If you plan on cooking from “home” during vacation, you may want to stop by a grocery to pick up essentials. Or you can have it delivered! Catch the sunset on the beach and take a moonlit walk before hitting the hay.

Day 2

Get a bright and early start. If you want to avoid the peak beach hours and crowds, it’s a good idea to aim for early morning or early evening for a beach day with less people. Now that you’re on 30A, it’s time to travel like the locals do. Stop by a bike rental shop and hop on your new mode of transportation for this vacation. Riding a bike is one of the fastest and most fun ways to travel here. It makes getting to the beach and seeing all the cute, local towns so much easier and less stressful. No traffic and no need to wait for parking. You’ll likely find plenty of places to eat while you’re there including cool drinks and ice cream to cool off. While you’re out and about, stop by one of the local markets for fresh ingredients or delicious snacks. Goatfeathers Seafood Market always has a fresh catch of the day and all the usual fantastic seafood you’d expect in this area. Or check out Destin Ice Market, a favorite local shop with everything from fine wine and cheese to deli meats and house made sides and sweets. Light up the grill back at “home” and enjoy a nice night in.

Day 3

This is the perfect day for biking along the Timpoochee Trail and seeing more of the charming 30A communities in this area: Rosemary Beach, Watercolor, Seagrove Beach, Grayton Beach and more. The paved trail winds through all these communities and makes traveling easy. Along the way, you can stop for a bite to eat or do some window shopping. There are many adorable boutiques and specialty stores on 30A. If you prefer to spend your day exploring the outdoors, a visit to Camp Helen State Park is in order. Rent a kayak and see this area with the best view – a water view! If you’re looking for more ideas on a boat, try a local fishing charter, glass bottom boat ride or sunset cruise.

Whatever you choose to do here, we think you’ll love this beautiful area. 30A is truly a gem on the Emerald Coast! If you’re looking for a place to stay on 30A, consider staying with us.
