This is the closest and most convenient area to our 30A vacation homes and rental cottages. Settled right in Panama City, Florida, this airport is just a short drive from our turquoise waters and white sand beaches. All the major airlines use this airport including Southwest, Delta, United and American Airlines. The airport is relatively new, having opened in 2010, and has all the conveniences you’d expect at any other airport: coffee, food, gift shops and bars.
Next up is the Destin – Fort Walton Beach Airport (VPS). While VPS is slightly further than Northwest Florida Beaches International Airport (ECP), it’s still less than an hour away from 30A. If you can snag a cheaper ticket flying into this airport, it’s well worth the drive. After all, taking the trip by car from the airport to 30A is an experience unto itself. Soak up the sun as you pass palm trees and beaches. 30A is Florida’s scenic highway for a reason.
