We’re back for part two of our Grab and Go Food on 30A series. In the last article, we explored some delicious dining on-the-go options. From soft cheeses, craft beer and fine wine at Destin Ice Market to Freshii’s inspired breakfast burritos, our list was just a taste of the dining options on 30A. This time we’ve got even more inspired ideas for your daily munchies. These 30A restaurants have great takeout options for easy grab-and-go foods like sandwiches or burgers.

While COVID-10 restrictions are incrementally being lifted in the 30A area, it’s still a good idea to keep things close to home. The rental ban lift is marvellous news for summer visitors and the local economy, but many are erring on the side of caution. Area safety restrictions like 50% capacity in restaurant dining rooms may also make for long waits for seating. But cooking every meal at home for months and months can be tiring. Getting a quick bite is a superb way to support local businesses and get some relief from the daily question, “What am I cooking today?”

Now let’s get to those mouthwatering menus:

Seacrest Sundries

This little shop has more than just sundries. You’ll find a delicious selection of picnic-perfect foods. Seacrest Sundries is a favorite stop on the way to the beach. Whether you’re looking for a quick breakfast or a simple lunch, there’s something for everyone. Their wings, chicken and tuna salad and even fried bologna sandwiches are some local favorites.

Seagrove Village Marketcafe

A Seagrove staple, the Marketcafe has a great to go menu with beef and wine, chicken and waffles and famous grouper tacos. They’ve also got simple fare like smoked fish dip, fried seafood baskets and “the best burgers on 30A.” Whether you’re popping in for a po’ boy or a slice of homemade key lime pie, you’ll love it here.

The Back Door Eatz

In Santa Rosa Beach, this is a great new sandwich shop on 30A. Enjoy quality cuts of Boars Head meat, large, fresh salads and divine coffee and donuts each morning. The subs are stacked generously and worth every penny. There’s plenty of parking, so it’s easy to get in and out quickly. You can call and place an order in advance for even faster service.

Bubba’s Pizza

Bubba’s has the best New York-style pizza in the area. Just like the genuine thing, these pies have thin, crunchy crust and a sweet, swirling sauce that will transport you to an NY eatery or a New Jersey boardwalk. They’ve got all the classics like pizzas galore, fried mozz and cheesy bread with some fun departures like Philly cheese fries.

Back Beach Barbeque

Who doesn’t love good BBQ? Back Beach is one of the favorite local joints and now with a curbside to-go menu, it was an easy pick for our “stay at home” pickup list. You can order meat by the pound or order sandwich style. Try the California pork or Texas-style brisket. This Panama City Beach restaurant also has smoked wings and pork spare ribs too. They have all the classic sides: baked beans, coleslaw, mac and cheese and potato salad. Grab banana pudding for dessert.

Temperley’s British Eatery

If you like twice-cooked, hand cut chips (fries) made from scratch daily, then Temperley’s fish n chips is a must order. Flaky, succulent North Atlantic Cod or Haddock, perfectly battered and fried sounds like a craving in the making. Try all the classics like shepherd’s pie, Cornish beef, pasty combo and bangers & mash (sausages with mash, topped with onion gravy.) They also have some unique selections like the “Frankenstein” burger or the “Winston Churchill,” a burger topped with greens, tomato, cheese and sautéed onions with a special sauce.

South of Philly

Located in Santa Rosa Beach, South of Philly boasts the best Philly cheesesteak… well, south of Philly. A sure sign this place is delicious: the locals flock to it. These cheesesteaks are the real deal: top quality meat on warm, toasty bread. Aside from the famous cheesesteaks, their baked beans and burgers are a must try. If you’re not a big meat-eater, they also have a great salad, topped with a house made Greek dressing.
