When visiting 30A, you can’t beat the picturesque vacation rental homes and 30A cottages prevalent in the area. But every once in a while, it’s fun to mix things up and remember there are many different ways to stay. Camping is a fun, family-friendly and unique way to experience the area. Whether you’re a first time camper or a seasoned professional, there’s an option for you.

There are different types of camping. From roughing it old school on a primitive tent site to glamping with your own AC unit or loading up the RV with all your favorite creature comforts, the trick is finding the style that works for you. On this blog post, we explore some different camping opportunities along Florida’s 30A. Get ready to pitch your tent under the beautiful Gulf Coast sky!

Camping in Grayton Beach State Park is a popular choice. Not only is it ranked on the Top 10 Best US Beaches, it offers a range of outdoors activities for you and your family to enjoy. Nature trails, white sand beaches and unique Florida ecosystems and wildlife, there’s so much to explore here. You’ll find community bathrooms, drinking water and a large picnic area public space. There’s even private beach access in the campground. Plus a boat ramp for the lake if your trip isn’t complete without time on the water or fishing. Prefer to keep you land legs? There are bunches of great hiking and biking trails too!

Bring your RV, trailer or camper to Grayton Beach State Park and enjoy water, electricity and sewer hookups at each camp site. You’ll also have access to a table, grill and a fire ring for all your camping fun. It’s the perfect place to get immersed in the great outdoors, break out your camp cookware, make s’mores or just hang out. They also have spots for tent camping!

If you don’t own an RV or maybe just prefer the comfort or central AC/heat, Grayton Beach State Park has more than 20 affordable cabins to rent. It’s a great way to enjoy the great outdoors in comfort. Each cabin has two bedrooms, a bathroom and a full kitchen. No more sharing community restrooms and public showers! Every cabin has central heat and air so you’re guaranteed to be comfortable all year long, no matter the weather.

Topsail Hill Preserve is another popular camping location. The campground offers more amenities than Grayton Beach like an equestrian trail, lighthouse, laundry, amphitheater, swimming pool and playground. They have cabins, RV campsites and tent camping available. Topsail also has amazing hiking and biking trails and plenty of eco-tourism experiences like paddle boarding, canoeing and kayaking.

Are you interested in roughing it old school style? Check out Point Washington State Forest. They offer overnight camping at Eastern Lake Campground at four primitive campsites. What does primitive mean? No water, electricity or ANY hookups. If this interests you, be sure to make a reservation ASAP. The spots are available at only $10 a night and, with only four spaces available, you can bet these spots book up fast! Bring along your bike or hiking bag. Over 10 miles of pristine trails are waiting for you here.

Our list of 30A camping options wouldn’t be complete without mentioning Fancy Camps. Fancy Camps is an awesome camping service that offers packages to make your ultimate camping or glamping experience. They handle all the planning, set up and break down for you. Currently, they offer their services in both Grayton Beach State Park and Topsail Preserve State Park.

These luxury tent accommodations start at $120/night and include a beautiful tent, comfortable bed, soft sheets, outlets, end tables, heating and cooling units and more. Fancy Camps will even set up a fire pit, outdoor seating, picnic table and string lights outside. It’s easiest way to enjoy glamping. You don’t have to worry about setting up anything—just show up and have fun!
