Today on the Love to Stay 30A blog, we’re talking all about Spring Break on 30A. We’ve got all the juicy details on where to go, what to do and what to expect here in our little slice of paradise. If you’re dodging cold winter months for some sunshine and sand, you have a lot to look forward to! We have beautiful weather, fresh seafood, charming coastal towns and stunning 30A luxury vacation rental homes for you to enjoy. Before we dive into our ideas of things to do on 30A during Spring Break, let’s go over some things you might want to know before you go.

There’s no doubt Spring Break is a popular time to visit 30A. While beaches in Miami and Fort Lauderdale draw huge crowds of rowdy college students, 30A Spring Break draws families and younger people. Seacrest Beach is especially popular with high schoolers but areas like Rosemary Beach, while popular, are a lot less crowded and noisy than many other Florida Spring Break destinations. If you’re hoping to dodge crowds entirely, Spring Break may not be the ideal time to visit 30A. However, you can avoid the bulk of the crowds by arriving early to the beach and then using the peak afternoon hours to relax at home, do some shopping or explore other parts of the area before returning for a stroll along the beach at dusk.

Here are some ideas of things to do during your 30A Spring vacation:

After you arrive and settle into your 30A vacation rental home, you might want to take it easy. Consider ordering delivery from one of the many amazing restaurants nearby. Looking for ideas? We’ve got you covered. Check out our articles on grab and go (delivery too!) foods: Part 1 and Part 2. If you’re up for it, catch the sunset at the beach. Many of our 30A vacation homes are situated right on the beach so you won’t have to go far!

The second day of your vacation and on are ALL about getting outside and taking full advantage of the area. There’s so much to do outdoors. We LOVE biking along the Timpoochee Trail because you’ll find yourself biking right through the heart of all these charming coastal communities. But there are countless ideas for fun. Check out these resources:

If you’re looking for a more memorable, sit-down affair, this list of must-try 30A dishes is a good place to start. From seafood paella to fish candy, there are intriguing options you’ll have to taste to believe. Vegans and vegetarians have a fair amount of options here too. Looking for a fun place that combines shopping, atmosphere, food and fun? Check out The Hub in Watersound. This cool area is called The Greatest Backyard Party of All Time for good reason. Live music and dancing, good food and fun – the Hub has it all.

Before you leave town, do a little shopping and grab a memento to remember us by. Some of our favorite shops are on this list but there are loads of adorable boutiques on 30A. Visit one of the shopping hubs like the Merchants of Seaside or the Silver Sands Premium Outlets where you’ll find a variety of stores and restaurants in the same area.
