When you’re visiting the 30A area, the number one attraction is always the gorgeous beaches. Smooth white sand and stunning Emerald ocean views are just some of the reasons the beaches here are so popular. But there are also lots of activities to enjoy on the beach: kayaking, snorkeling, fishing, collecting shells, jet skiing and swimming – just to name a few!
There are so many different options for boat charters, sails and fishing trips in the 30A area but we especially love this romantic sunset sail. Escape the busy beach crowds and get the best sunset view ever aboard a catamaran in the Caribbean waters. There’s a good chance you’ll spot some dolphins as you glide across the bay, enjoying relaxing music and an included glass of wine, beer or a nonalcoholic beverage. The trip lasts two hours and live music is available on select evenings.
This three and a half hour snorkel and dolphin tour takes place aboard a catamaran. During the tour, you’ll visit a dolphin “playground” and have the chance to swim, snorkel and explore the historic Grand Lagoon and the shallows right off Shell Island. Sanitized snorkeling equipment is provided for you including fins, mask, snorkel and vest. Bring a towel, sunscreen and snacks. Drinks are available for purchase.
If you’re visiting Panama City Beach with family, Shipwreck Island Waterpark has something for everyone. Adults can relax in the lazy river, sunbathe, check out the wave pool or find a comfy shady spot to relax while kids explore extensive options from kiddie pools to waterslides and flumes. There’s also an awesome zip line off a shipwrecked boat replica. It’s a great place to enjoy the day.
Pier Park is one of the most popular destinations in Panama City. It’s a beautiful walking area with seaside views and plenty of fantastic restaurants and retail establishments to explore. You’ll find everything from Bath and Body Works and American Eagle to Dave & Busters and ice cream shops. Come for dinner and take an evening stroll while you enjoy the live music and entertainment. There are plenty of restaurants from familiar chain spots like Olive Garden to local, family-owned restaurants unique to the area.
Although you can find Ripley’s museums in many places throughout the US, this location in Panama City Beach is a great rainy-day option on our list of things to do. You’ll find all the usual oddities like shrunken heads as well as hands-on displays, a 7-D moving theater, a LaserRace Challenge, mirror maze and more. If you’re traveling with kids, it can be a fun stop to spend a few hours.
Come see dolphins, sea lions, birds, alligators, sharks, penguins and more! Gulf World is one of the most popular Panama City Beach attractions. Shell Island has lovely, shallow waters perfect for a swim or snorkel and, of course, plenty of shells to collect. This barrier island is a popular spot to spend the day. You can even rent a pontoon boat to explore the area with family or friends.
Be a pirate for a day on this 85-foot pirate ship replica. The pirate cruise is perfect for families. The kids can enjoy face painting, temporary tattoos, sword fights and a bunch of other fun pirate activities while the grownups relax with an alcoholic beverage.
